Tim Chiasson wrote a tribute blog for John Scott earlier.

I thought maybe all bloggers for John's former teams might want to chime in and remember those special moments from each season.

John is alive and well (as far as I know) and maybe a "remembrance blog" was the best terminology.

The 6'0" 172 lb. forward has a full-speed, north-south mentality and speed to burn.

Larkin is more like 190 lb now.

Seems like a lot of people are grasping at straws as to why Babcock should be coaching their team. Yes Holland and Babcock went to the WC so Babcock could check out Eichel Good thing there isn't a team in Wisconsin or someone would quote him talking about players getting the cheese as a hint he wants to coach there

So you want to take something directly from a blog giving compliments to one of your prospects and then slam him with crap especially after just 2 days ago Babcock was in fact in Buffalo?

Look whether he comes here or not you have no idea who Babcock is looking at or why he is looking at them. Don't be butt hurt because your team gave permission to Babcock to talk to other teams.

Wow some of you Buffalo fans really are clueless. Your blogger tries to make it sound like Babcock is there mainly to see Eichel (with his "" about being there to watch Larkin) when this trip was planned before they even gave him permission to talk to other teams. I corrected him on Larkin's weight since that was an old one.

As for where Babcock ends up I don't really care and will be quite happy if it's not with Detroit. I just find it funny that some of you are really grasping at straws as to reasons he would want to coach your favorite team. Will be fun to see (if he moves on) who the fans will turn on first...him or the GM when things don't magically turn around right away.

Oh I'm sure you just can't wait for him to move on he's been such a burden on Detroit.

Since there are some who think TMGM is just a "beady eyed little douche who hasn't earned anything yet," or something to that affect, I'm going with GM. And that is whether it is Babcock or someone else who is hired as coach.

I also think you read (red, reid) too much into the blog. I don't think anyone thinks Babcock went to tournament just to see Eichel. I also don't think anyone thinks Babcock went to the tournament to just see Larkin either.

Can you show me where he said he's only there to see Eichel?

Again you Detroit fans are just grasping for air knowing your runs deep into the playoffs are over and your coach sees it too. I mean why else would he be interviewing with other teams?

Like I said whether he ends up here or not nobody knows who he is going to see. A trip around the world to see just one player is a waste of money and time. I am sure he is scouting several players.

Well considering he said he was going to see Larkin the day after the Wings lost.....................trying to blame our blogger is just plain wrong on your part. I'm sure you are more concerned with coming on the Sabres blog to bash the Sabres and the fan base then your are to make a legit point.

Yes because I said he's been a burden his entire time in Detroit Time to move on and I'm far from the only Wings fan who feels this way. It's been obvious to most who follow the team that Holland and Babcock often don't agree on the players they need to win. Holland gets certain players for certain roles on the team and Babcock doesn't use them for that and they end up looking like busts. Weiss is just one of many examples of this. You can't the guy to put up decent numbers playing 8 minutes a game on the 4th line as a winger (when they got him to be a 2nd line center and he barely got a chance in that spot) with 2 guys who can barely score into an empty net.
